You Are Your Own Best Friend

In order to turn away from sourness and bitterness in life, you would need a sweet person to turn to: Yourself! - You are your best friend“I’ve learned a long time ago the wisest thing I can do is be on my own side, be an advocate for myself and others like me.”

Maya Angelou, 1928 – 2014, Poet, Author, Playwright, Performing Artist, Civil Rights Activist

You are your own best friend who knows you like no other and accepts you wholeheartedly.

At least, you have your sacred garden inside, that you share yourself with within.

At any point of your life, through joy and sorrow, when you turn to yourself,

you will always understand.

What you are waiting for from another is already within — joy may be escalated, pain may be dissolved.

You may need or seek another, and until she/he may arrive at your shore do not ever forget that you are the greatest comfort and confidant you can ever imagine.

Perhaps in just knowing that warmth, you may face the blizzard with ease…
