Cast Your Struggles On The Sky

Surely, my struggles must be smaller than the entire Universe and her capacity to accommodate them and a zillion others.“Happiness is not a brilliant climax to years of grim struggle and anxiety. It is a long succession of little decisions simply to be happy in the moment.”

J. Donald Walters, a.k.a. Swami Kriyananda, 1926 – 2013, Author, Lecturer, Music Composer, Founder of Ananda (Global Spiritual Community)

When I was little, I used to place all my struggles in my hand, hold it up and look at the sky. Zillions of stars and planets I could see embedded within its carpet… the infinite sky.

I compared them both and found my troubles to be so very tiny.

And my blessings, infinte, called upon me just as I invited but an ounce of them unto my heart. These blessings surrounded me and as came joy too.

Those troubles merely fit my hand; these blessings encompass my soul that contain infinte capacity.

My troubles dissipate and expose the unhindered light of happiness.

Looking up at the everpresent sky…

I should do that more often!

You could too!
